HAPPY NEW YEAR
Many people make New Year resolutions. Whatever resolutions we may make, they are only good if we keep them. We can learn from the Scripture several things to apply in our lives during this coming year to make us stronger Christians. Steadfastness is essential for us to have spiritual victories in the New Year.
1. Committed in prayer to God.
2. Continuous watching for the enemy.
3. Confident in the presence of God.
4. Continued in the work of God.
5. Courage in the face of danger.
Thank God for GraceGrace is amazing. The Bible teaches that God’s gift of salvation is given to us by grace. Man’s feeble attempts to try please God by his works have always fallen short. We are not able to please God because of the weakness of our flesh. We are sinners by nature because we all have the nature of Adam. We find ourselves thinking like Paul: “For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.” Romans 7:19 We cry out like Paul: “O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” Romans 7:24 God has revealed the “Who” that can deliver us from sin and death. It is His Son, Jesus Christ. God’s grace provided our Deliverer. God has “delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son.” Colossians 1:13 We now can say with Paul. “I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord.” Romans 7:25 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 Give the Lord thanks for His amazing Grace!
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." (Jeremiah 29:11)
"Wherever you are, be all there. Live to the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God."
